What God says about your future?
Jeremiah 29:11
Indeed, Jeremiah makes it very clear that some predictive prophecy is not meant to come pass at all. Let's look at Jeremiah 18:5-10. This passage explains that God reserves the possibility to change course even after the prophet who speaks on God's behalf predicts blessing or cursing.
Scripture Backs It Up
Here are a few verses about planning. Proverbs 16:3 – Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. Proverbs 16:9 – The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. Proverbs 15:22 – Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers, they succeed.
God's life-changing word overflows with his promises of real love, forgiveness, salvation, peace, hope, and joy for everyone who trusts in his Son, Jesus.
“'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. '” — Jeremiah 29:11.
Matthew 6:34
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” The Good News: Don't let worries about the future overwhelm you; turn to the Lord for support in the present.
Psalms 16:5 GNBUK
You, LORD, are all I have, and you give me all I need; my future is in your hands.
Spend focused time in prayer. The most obvious answer to the question, “How can I know God's will for my life?” is to ask Him. Turn to God in prayer and ask Him what He wants you to do. God wants you to go through the process of seeking His will without believing the lie that He is trying to hide it from you.
These Scriptures teach that planning is biblically ordained and encouraged by God. Jesus said that a wise person plans and counts the cost. The book of Proverbs declared that we won't prosper in this life unless we are diligent and "PLAN." God doesn't expect us to live our lives without planning.
God, our loving Heavenly Father, wants us to find happiness and joy. He created a plan for us to grow, live by faith, and return to live with Him someday. His plan gives meaning and context to our life here on earth and answers the big questions: “Where did I come from?” “Why am I here?” and “What happens after I die?”
Does God promise a better future?
God is putting his full weight behind his promises. He is not messing around! His hopes and desires for you are higher and better than yours. I really believe he can and will fulfill his promise to prosper each and every one of us and to give us a hope and a future that are beyond what we can hope for or imagine.
God will never leave you or forsake you. In the midst of changes in your life, God is constant and can be so well trusted to hold your future in His perfect and all-powerful hands.
Romans 5:3-5 — Our pain has a purpose.
And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love” (NLT).
Growing anxious about the future is definitely human nature. But, through Matthew 6:34, God asks us to not worry about tomorrow, to live in the present moment and only focus on what we have to do today.

So, while grieving the loss of this calling I loved, I turned to my favorite Scripture passage. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Worries exaggerate the possible outcome
Now come the fear and fretting and stress appear. You can never predict what will happen and you are not able to control what does happen. We are for a short time here, so just forget and stop worrying about the future, live in the present and enjoy everything that happens.
"Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
“The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee” (Deuteronomy 28:8). All! In other words, everything you put your hands on is going to prosper!
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
What the Bible says about God will hold me fast?
Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.
But most often, God speaks to us directly in the language of God - through the Holy Spirit, which we can recognize in ourselves when we see its fruits: hope, love, faith, joy, peace of mind and heart, patience, kindness, gentleness, and self-control. If you have to ask that, then God is clearly not talking to you.
God has a good plan for your life, and He doesn't want you to be tormented by fear or let it hold you back from your destiny. His will is for you to walk forward, confident in His love, trusting Him to take care of you all along the way.
- Come to God with your request for guidance. ...

- Jot down any Scripture, songs, impressions, or pictures God gives you. ...
- Share how God spoke to you with your prayer partners and follow God's will.
I could see that whenever God interrupts our plans, it's always for a greater purpose. The wisdom in Proverbs 19:21 explains it this way: “Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails.” I love that this scripture says we don't just have some plans — we have many plans. I know I do.
