FIFA 23 has launched with dozens of teams across dozens of leagues at the player's disposal. There are many game modes players can enjoy, with Online Seasons being a mode that sees players duking it out across ten Divisions with any officially licensed team in the game. The best teams in FIFA 23 reflect the best teams in real life, with minimal differences compared to FIFA 21 and FIFA 22 owing to it taking time for teams to change in terms of quality, for better or worse.

FIFA 23 attempts to pair players up with opponents using a similar team to them in terms of stars and player quality, which makes for more equal matchups and less frustration as players try their hardest to beat their opponents using players of similar quality. Of course, the balancing in FIFA 23 can feel all over the place at times, but players won't get frustrated by this too much as long as their own skill level is high enough to make up for the lack of quality in the players they control.

Best Four-Star Teams

Schalke

Schalke is one of the biggest teams in the Bundesliga, featuring a wealth of talent that makes them pretty entertaining to control. While it's true that the German league is mostly dominated by Bayern Munich, Schalke has still managed to remain fairly relevant as one of the bigger teams in the league.

The team definitely has a ton of potential, although players who aren't used to controlling weaker players may suffer in some aspects. Regardless, players who decide to give this team a chance will be surprised by how much fun they are to control despite the lack of any recognizable names.

Espanyol

Espanyol is one of the many mid-table teams in La Liga who can definitely bring some quality football to the mix when the situation calls for it. While their form varied quite a bit, the team can still pull off some great upsets against tougher opposition if the situation calls for it.

With an 82 Attack, 83 Midfield, and 81 Defense, players who like to control the game with possession-based gameplay may benefit from this squad the most. With Eriksen in midfield, players can get super brave with their over-the-top through balls.

Leverkusen

A bit of a surprise to a lot of FIFA gamers, but Leverkusen is seeing something of a resurgence. Moving up from a low four-star in FIFA 22 to a high four-and-a-half in FIFA 23, players will have fun using this much more improved squad. In fact, the club has had some of FIFA 23's highest upgrades.

The squad has 83 Attack compared to 77 Defense, so players will certainly be better-suited to Leverkusen if they tend to be more on the attacking side than the defensive. Nevertheless, Leverkusen can still hold their own if on the back foot and defending.

Juventus

Juventus is finally back in FIFA with a license. but the club has dropped to four-and-a-half-stars. The sales of star players have left Juventus in a weaker position than the team was for FIFA 22, but they're still a capable squad to use for gamers who don't want to play five-star games.

With a high attack and midfield with a passable Defense, Juventus still have a bite in them with brilliant pacey wingers who can dribble past defenders and score.

A narrow-formation team that plays very central with lots of one-touch passes in the build-up, PSG suits players who like to play with a quick tempo.
