This qualification is designed to provide learners with knowledge and skills relating to cyber security practices. It will provide the learner with a chance to develop knowledge and learn practical skills which can be used to seek employment or proceed into study at a higher level.

Learners must be at least 19 years old.Learners must be eligible for government funding.Learners must demonstrate suitability by way of previous achievement in Level 2 Digital Skills or Information Technology qualification and/or initial assessment in English and Information, communication and technology.

This qualification aims to:• focus on the study of the practices within cyber security• offer breadth and depth of study, incorporating a key core of knowledge• provide opportunities to acquire a number of practical skills.The objective of this qualification is to:• provide the learner with an opportunity to develop knowledge and skills relating to cyber security practices.Work/industry placement experience is not required.Course Length will be approx. 3 months.Topics will include:Understand cyber security principlesThreat intelligence in cyber securityCyber security testing, vulnerabilities and controlsCyber security incident responseUnderstand legislation and ethical conduct within cyber securityProfessional skills and behaviours for cyber security
