The Kardashian-Jenners have been wearing wigs, extensions and dyeing their hair different colours for decades - but what do Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Kylie's locks really look like underneath

We've seen the Kardashians with all sorts of hairstyles and colours over the years - and it's a far cry from their natural locks.

They have embraced a number of weird and wonderful looks, whether it be long, short, jet black or platinum blonde.

But what do they really look like under those wigs and extensions?

We very recently found out the current status of Kim Kardashian's hair - and it shocked and delighted some fans.

Kylie Jenner once revealed that the "craziest" rumour she had heard about her family: "That we're all actually bald!"

She was clearly having a laugh, but the Kardashian-Jenner clan do look very different under all the additions.

Is there a hairstyle or colour that Kylie Jenner hasn't rocked?

The youngest sister does love standing out from the crowd and claims she introduced the rest of her family to wigs.

"I started wigs, and now everyone is wearing wigs. Kim [Kardashian] just used my wig guy last night...I just do whatever I want to do, and people will follow," she told Marie Claire in 2016.

Back in 2020, we got a glimpse of Kylie's naturally short hair without extensions on her Instagram stories during a treatment.

It looked a lot shorter and lighter than what we're used to - and her blonde highlights could be seen on her wet locks.

Showing fans she was applying hair dye at home, she wrote in the caption: "Roots almost there."

Kylie first dyed her hair when she was just 9-years-old after mum Kris finally allowed her to.

Explaining what happened, Kylie once tweeted: "I begged my mom for a year to dye my hair & finally at 9yrs old she let me do this and only this! Changed everything."

Kylie also shared a photo of herself at the age of nine – where she’s got a big chunk of her hair dyed blonde.

We're used to see striking hairstyles from Khloe, who loves to test out the theory that blondes have more fun.

She frequently swaps between bold blonde looks and softer brunette shades - and fans are always amazed by her looks.

On the rare occasion, Khloe does give us a glimpse of her stunning natural hair, letting her beautiful curls hang loose.

In August 2021, she urged her followers to be kind in the comments section as she also shared clips of herself dancing to music and whipping her hair around.

Posting on Instagram, she penned: "I rarely wear my natural hair texture. Felt kinda cute with it (please don’t ruin the feeling)"

Sister Kendall Jenner was quick to comment, telling her: "I love your natural hair".

Khloe showed off an extravagant new look recently, but admitted it wasn't entirely as it seems.

In an unexpected twist, the reality TV star confessed her "new" fringe was actually just clipped on for a photoshoot.

Sharing a number of snaps of the dramatic look which was part of her Sorbet magazine photoshoot, Khloe confirmed: "Fun fact: I wore clip on bangs for this shoot."

Continuing her confession to her 287million Instagram followers, she added: "It was fun to give a different look and not be committed. I am surprised with how much I liked the bangs even though they changed the shape of my face."

Kim Kardashian sent the internet into meltdown this week by revealing her natural locks.

Rather than posting a snap, it was actually shown on a TikTok video uploaded by eldest daughter North West.

Kim's hair appeared a lot shorter than we are used to and some fans remarked how it looked somewhat damaged following several colour and length transformations over the years.

Some fans in the comments section said it must be tired from bleaching, while others clocked her dark roots and suggested she go back to silky black.

Kim has dyed her hair most colours under the sun, but in may last year went platinum blonde to replicate Marilyn Monroe while she wore one of her iconic dresses to the Met Gala.

Speaking of the transformation last year, she told Vogue: "I did want a physical change, too, so I thought I would wait and do it for this.

"So I'm spending a day straight dyeing my hair — 14 hours straight! — to get it done."

While in Kylie's YouTube vlog, Kim expressed her concern over losing her hair because of how long it was bleached for.

Kylie told Kim she was "bold" she was for dying her hair platinum blonde, while Kim nervously replied: "I'll risk getting my hair to fall out."

The second eldest sister also had a bob in 20818, but in an Instagram vid confessed: "I'm so annoyed that I cut it. I feel cutesy … not sexy. No, I don't feel sexy in short hair. I feel sexy with long hair."

We're used to seeing Kourtney Kardashian with long dark hair.

Although she got into trouble when she was younger by suffering a hair dye disaster while trying to go platinum blonde in her high school years.

It ended up looking bright yellow - and mum Kris wanted her to sort it out at the salon right away.

Kourtney usually sticks to her natural dark look these days, but in recent times has wowed us with a shoulder-length bob.

"This is [my] hair from just taking a shower and letting it dry and sleeping on it, and so I haven't even brushed my hair today," she said when she unveiled her new look during the pandemic.

"I’ve only been doing this since quarantine time, I just rinse my hair with water after [I’m done working out], especially since I haven’t been seeing anyone.

"So I rinse my hair with water, then it has my hair’s natural oils and then I can slick it with a silk scrunchie. That’s just been my jam."

In August last year, Kourtney showed off the purple highlights she'd had put in her hair, and over Halloween we saw that she has a love for a coloured wig.
